Thank you for wanting to learn more about how you can support the mission of H2O Ministries. It means so much us to us that you have taken the time to click through this page and learn about how YOU can get involved and help us bridge the gap between foster care and adulthood.

We know that not everyone reading this is called to foster or adopt but we also know that you care about the young adults we serve, and you want to see better outcomes for them. Here are so ways you can help us in our fight to change the stigma and statistics for youth aging out of foster care.

Ongoing Ministry Needs

We have an ongoing need for tangible items such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, etc. You can visit our Walmart registry and have supplies shipped directly to the ministry!

Walmart Registry

(Gift cards listed on the registry are applied to feminine hygiene products.)

Medical Needs

The Chafee Foster Care Independence Act allows Louisiana to offer Medicaid to youth aging out of foster care and leaving state custody. Those enrolled in Medicaid under the Chafee Act are eligible for the full range of Medicaid covered services. However, our residents occasionally have medical needs arise that are not covered by the state. We want to make sure each young adult has the access to medical care and resources as they are preparing for independent living. (Learn more about the Chafee Foster Care Independence Act here.)

By donating to our medical needs fund, you are providing a young adult the access to timely medical care, services, and medication.

Special Projects & Holiday Support

Special Projects: In order to provide encouragement and normalcy, H2O hosts special projects (events, gifts, and rewards) throughout the year to our residents. Examples of special projects include, but are not limited to, birthday dinners, goal-achievement celebrations, spring break vacation, and day trips.

Holiday Support: H2O celebrates various holidays throughout the year and seeks to provide holiday-specific events and gifts to residents and our amazing staff.
